TAHSEEN SHABAB

Co-Founder & CEO

Tahseen was a cybersecurity consultant for firms like IBM, Royal Bank of Canada, Fortune 60 Telco, a North American Government and more. He was the lead developer of AppScan Source on Cloud – a SAST tool used by many Fortune 500 firms. AppScan was a leader on Gartner’s Magic quadrant. Tahseen graduated from the UWaterloo in Electrical Engineering and holds 3 awards from UWaterloo and 2 awards from IBM.

HASSAN KHAN

Co-Founder and Chief Scientist

Prof. Hassan completed his PhD from UWaterloo in Cybersecurity. Hassan has over 24 published research papers within Security, Systems and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at top journals like ACM MobiCom, ACM CCS, and ACM CHI. Hassan was the Co-founder of xFlow Research, where he built state of the art software-defined networking solutions for companies such as Marvell, Netgear and Dell.

SERGE BERTINI

Chief Operating Officer

Serge has 25+ years of information technology management, enterprise security and sales experience. Most recently, Serge was Vice President and Canadian Country Manager for CrowdStrike where he significantly grew the sales and operations for the company, successfully changing the security posture of many Canadian organizations. Prior to CrowdStrike, Serge managed enterprise security sales for HPE and held leadership roles at Intel Security/McAfee. Serge has also managed teams at several security start-ups based in both the United States and Canada.

RACHEL MCGONIGLE

Head of Sales

Rachel is a graduate of Queen’s University and has extensive experience partnering with enterprise businesses and high-growth technology companies in the B2B and B2C space through her past work at Michael Page. She has focused on generating new business and nurturing existing client relationships to create long-term partnerships, which contributed to her receiving 2 awards from Michael Page. In addition, Rachel is a recipient of the Dean's special award at Queens University.

FRANK JI

Vice President of Engineering

Frank previously served as the Senior Engineer at Facebook Enterprise Trust Organization, working on enterprise solutions related to Privacy, Security and Compliance. He also spent 6 years at IBM working on WebSphere Java runtime and other cloud offerings. Frank has also been a part of various Engineering teams at companies like International Financial Data Services, Symantec, and Blackberry.

ERIN PULLYBLANK

VP of Marketing

Erin has 15+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Sales and Marketing. Previously, as the Regional Marketing Manager for CrowdStrike, she built the Canadian marketing strategy & brand from the ground up. Prior to CrowdStrike, she developed the marketing plans for the Global Strategic Technology Partners in North America and APAC Channel for TITUS (now Help Systems). She has also held various roles at CSC (now DXC) and MXI Security.

KATE LARSON

AI Advisor

Kate is a research scientist at DeepMind. She is a professor in the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and is affiliated with the AI group. Kate also currently holds a University Research Chair and the Pasupalak AI Fellowship. She completed her PhD in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.

LARRY SMITH

Strategy Advisor

Larry is a professor at the University in Waterloo, an expert in the areas of Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Forecasting. Specializing in forecasting and the economics of innovation, he has worked with governments, financial institutions, professional associations, and companies developing new markets or new products. He has also mentored many of his students on start-up business management and career development. The most notable start-up he advised in its infancy is Research in Motion (RIM), maker of the BlackBerry.
